The Kiwanians of Worcester work together to achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Founded in 1915 in Detroit and with headquarters now in Indianapolis, Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service- and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world. More than 8,400 Kiwanis clubs with nearly 600,000 members in 96 nations and geographic areas make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to address worldwide issues. Through these efforts, Kiwanis International truly is "Serving the Children of the World."
To me, Kiwanis is all about three important things: 1. Service - Service to our community, our fellow Kiwanians, our families and to ourselves. 2. Friendship - Many of the friendships I have found through Kiwanis are the strongest and most enduring. 3. Commitment -You will get out of Kiwanis what you put into Kiwanis. The commitment need not be great, however, in order to reap great rewards. -Kiwanian Roger Beauregard |
